400 MILLION MISSING PEOPLE

(
The Chinese government isn't getting rid of its one-child policy currently in place. It's just making it sound better. China's communist party newspaper, People's Daily, reports that the government will revamp its abrasive-sounding slogans surrounding the policy.
People's Daily cites several examples of "harsh slogans," including those "which sometimes even threaten criminal acts." The newly instituted program, slugged the "face-washing project," will offer more proactive slogans to help enforce the policy, which has been in place since 1979. China claims the policy, which applies to those living in urban areas, affects approximately 35.9 percent of the population and has resulted in an estimated 400 million fewer births since first being implemented.
Some examples of the more offensive slogans currently in use include:
"If you don't receive the tubal ligation surgery by the deadline, your house will be demolished!"
"We would rather scrape your womb than allow you to have a second child!"
"Kill all your family members if you don't follow the rule!"
And…
"Once you get captured, an immediate tubal ligation will be done; Should you escape, we'll hunt you down; If you attempt a suicide, we'll offer you either the rope or a bottle of poison."
The new less offensive slogans replacing the more callous ones will reportedly seek to "avoid offending the public and stoking social tensions."
China's one-child policy has faced criticism from around the world. In addition to more obvious concerns about civil liberties, the policy has reportedly had the unintended effect of many families aborting female babies until a male child is conceived. That trend has resulted in 118 boys being born for every 100 girls, which has contributed to males outnumbering females in China by an estimated 30 to 40 million.

China is also bracing itself for an unprecedented growth in its senior population over the next several decades. As of today, people over the age of 60 make up only 13 percent of China's population. But that percentage is expected to swell to over 30 percent by 2050.
People's Daily offered some examples of the "softer" messages the government will issue, including:
"Caring for the girl means caring for the future of the nation."
"Please get rid of the alcohol and cigarettes before you plan to be a father."

I know I am preaching to some of the choir here but I recently talked to my sister who has been a respiratory therapist for 40 years.  She now works in a terminal illness unit that has people who are on respirators FOR  LIFE. Many are on them AFTER they received a flu shot. SHE NEVER HAS TAKEN FLU SHOTS FOR THIS REASON even though she has always worked in a medical field. My file on the 'possible' side effects and the testimonies of people who were harmed by vaccines is huge. I have articles from lawyers, doctors, CDC, Lifesitenews etc. I use my religious exemption on the form for school, doctors or anyone who says that I have to vaccinate my kids. I could also use my medical exemption if I wanted to.  First I laugh and say, "It is my Religious Freedom and my Constitutional Right." I TRY NOT to be sarcastic." I try to inform and educate.  If I am pushed then I start talking about all the vaccines that are made from aborted fetus cells. THEN IT GETS INTERESTING...

In Montana the schools will tell you that you HAVE to be vaccinated. That is not true. I challenged the school nurse and the school counselor and neither KNEW that there was a CHOICE!  I told them that the paper that you sign in your children's doctor's office has an exemption on the back and you can ask for it. The Counselor called her doctor on the spot and left a message for them to call her back. She never knew that. The school nurse then looked on the Superintendent of Public School's website and THERE IT WAS! What was incredulous was that they insisted that I go to a notary and get it signed....and on the form it says that if I change my mind or lie I risk a fine of $500 or 6 months in jail ! How about that!  I took it to my bank and did it and took it back and the counselor and nurse told me that in 12 years working at the High School that they had NEVER had someone demand not to follow their rule.

ITS NOT WHAT THEY TELL YOU, ITS WHAT THEY DON'T TELL YOU!

I also filled out the same forms for homeschooling my kids and sent it in.  I went home to Ed and threatened him that I was going to go tell them I lied and maybe I'd get 6 months in jail. I could use some solitude, someone else cooking, no laundry, mandatory exercise, and it is all paid for by my tax dollar. Then maybe I could get my book written!!!

Josyp Terelya - My Hero and Intercessor

February 27, 1995.

I was praying in the chapel of the Ukrainian Cruise Ship Gruzia. A group of 180 Catholics of Canada and the United States were on a cruise to Honduras, Belize and Mexico. We had a special mission, though not all the pilgrims knew it. Around 12:10 p.m. from February 27 on to the 28th, during prayer, the Mother of God appeared to me in the company of the Angel of America. All this lasted one minute.

The Mother of God:

Our Son, may your prayers be filled with the Holy Spirit and your hearts with faith and the fortitude of spirit. Yours is an unusual pilgrimage. For this is in God’s plans; the Lord forgets no one, not even sinners.

Our Son, I tell you that every spiritual brother should be truly a brother to others. This ideal is the foundation on which the Church stands. The Lord has placed in all your hearts a dream about an ideal brotherhood. Good gives birth to good, and evil is punished by evil. You see this in the example of Russia. America has been assigned a great mission not only in the life of its own people but also in the life of all the nations of the earth. Cain destroyed this brotherhood in the lord and from that time sin has nested itself before the doors of human hearts. My only begotten Son was sent to earth that this universal brotherhood might become reality in Christ. I shall come here, on this boat, to distribute graces of the Holy Spirit to all who are in need: the cripples, the weak, those who need prayer and peace and comfort. It is through the purification of America that unity shall be achieved. Following the example of America more countries will begin their work to establish the brotherhood of spiritual Christians. Amen.

Lock and Load

When you hear your husband say over the phone from work, "I know you are stressed about selling the house, but you need to sit down...are you sitting?" It makes you do one of two things: the impulses in the brain immediately go to the file of : 'Where did I put that bottle of scotch I put away for special occasions last year?' or you go to the 'safe place' you've created in your mind for stressful emergencies...mine is at the foot of the cross. Maybe this time its with a scotch and water!
Anyway, Ed then proceeds to tell me that the police came to the Port, which is shipping out equipment to Iraq for the soldiers this week, and they told him that protesters called into the radio station in Aberdeen and Olympia and stated that, "If the Port Officials were going to bring the war to the U.S., then they would bring the war to Port Official's homes and families."
My heart just fell. I looked around at two of my children sitting there and vowed not to let them know any fear of this.  I know my husband was sick about it.  He has worked himself to death trying to maintain and prepare security for the Port for all to go smooth, knowing full well there are those out there that would do anything to get into the newspaper, including our notorious Olympia Councilman who got arrested last time the military went out of the Port of Olympia.  Ironic as  it may be, Ed only has a week and a half more at the Port before his new job starts!
Ed says lock up, get the video camera out and ready and no kids in the front yard. Tell the neighbors and call the neighborhood security guard.  Oh, and by the way, no open house this weekend, we don't want just anyone wandering through our home...GRRRRR-RREAT.
I tell the principal at the school my kids went to, just in case.  I tell the bored 16 year old ....well, you never saw so much enthusiasm in your life.  Now we are talking about fun.  Lock and load.  He will be busy for hours figuring out the exact details of a 'Home Alone' scenario to protect the perimeter of the property and guard the women and children. Is the roof off limits? What about the neighbor's roofs?
I called my pacifist 24 year old daughter to let her know and to blow off steam.  She laughs. "Its just a day in the life of our family mom!" She states, "They probably won't do any harm, usually they are anti-violence. They just want to make a point."  I say, "Yea, well they just arrested them climbing the fences, taking pictures of classified materials, and pouring cement on the railroad tracks.  They closed down the City Hall in Aberdeen because of them."  She says, "Please, no bullets mom."  I reply, "I wouldn't think of using bullets. I am not going to shoot someone because they harm a shrub in my yard, but they come to my front door and I am going to open the door, grab them by their dreadlocks and pull them inside and let your brother practice paintball shots at them in the garage while they run around screaming like little girls."
My daughter says, "Paintball is ok, it hurts like hell, but it won't kill them. "  Spoken like a true pacifist....gosh I love her spirit!
I won't stress over this, I know St. Joseph will sell our home...with or without protesters out front.  The neighbors will probably be glad to see us go!

The Saints in my Life

I am thinking of the saints in my life today. There is a saying, "Wherever there is a saint, there is a martyr living with them." I am holding that battle flag in my back pocket when dealing with family members. We take turns having pity parties and patting each other on the back. I have to remember it is in the simplicity of the acts of love that we are sanctified and satisfied. I have great saints in my life and I am forever grateful to God to have the opportunity to learn from them. My father is one. He has Altzeimer. He is 87 and asks me when I am taking him to school today. I tell him its Saturday and he gets to stay home but we will go to Walgreens later and that means a candy bar and a drink. He is forever happy to see me. I am his wife, sister, mother or daughter  on any given day. He teases me and says, "Give me an apple." I correct him and say, "Please give me an apple." and he replies, "Please give me an apple before I knock your head off." Then he laughs. I love my dad. When I put him to bed there is a routine. He says I am the only one who can put his c-pap mask on correctly. When I put his blankets on and turn on his music CD, I always say, "I love you dad", and sometimes he says, " of course you do, I'm your little brother."  I am having more fun with my father than when he didn't have Altzeimers. We were not close nor was he any prize winning father. He needs me now, that is the difference; and I need him. Even when he projectile vomited all over my dashboard in my car, it was funny. It was one of those- I can't believe I just fed you hot dogs and and they are now all over my car in minute pieces with slime moments. My dad is forever grateful, and that is the difference. He is always saying thank you. I keep reminding myself, "When I get Alzeimers, I need to remember to say thank you!" I keep saying to my kids, "I've told God He can have all of me, mind, body and soul, but I've asked him to keep my sense of humor just for you." I don't think they think its funny and I think they are going to put me on an iceburg.

Dear friends, may no adversity paralyze you. Be afraid neither of the world, nor of the future, nor of your weakness. The Lord has allowed you to live in this moment of history so that, by your faith, his name will continue to resound throughout the world.
