Francis S. --A housewife with a message to the Priests and faithful

Francis S.  - Tape 3-Side 1   8-22-83   

                               Blessed Mother and the Angels
(this is the third tape of three tapes that I am transcribing. Remember, this happened in 1983! So much is coming true now!)

            “I bind Satan and all the evil spirits who would come against us for the Blessed Mother has said that it can be put out now and people can be told, especially to the priests. So I ask Lord that you bind Satan and you lose the power of the Holy Spirit upon us so I do not make a mistake, so I do not say words that Satan would have me to say, but only that which are from our Blessed Mother from our Lord. I praise you and give you thanks Jesus for this answer to our prayers.

            I received this message on Aug. 22nd 1983 at approximately 6:35 this morning. I came downstairs and knelt in front of the statue of the blessed Mother and was saying my prayers and I looked up and the statue didn't look like a statue she looked like she had come to life. I looked up at her and I said, “You are just a statue, you’re not the Blessed Mother.” She said, “If you don’t believe, just kiss my foot.”  I knelt down and kissed her foot and it was flesh. I stood up and backed away from it and I looked at her again and then knelt back down and looked at her in the face and she started telling me some things she wanted to tell the priests and to tell others. This is what she said, and I kept wanting to go back and get a pencil and piece of paper but she kept telling me that her words came from the Lord and I would remember it so therefore I wouldn't have to write it down. And then after she told me everything she told me then I could go and write. 

            She said, “Alas child I give a message to thee. It grieves me to say what must be said. This is why you have heard the weeping of heaven. This is why you see me with tears. I am your Blessed Mother, the mother of all. Oh how rejection hurts so! How my heart aches in union with my son. Know this; it is not possible to escape God’s hand. The angels must do what has been told. 
     Tell the priests it is because of the godless who refuse to acknowledge God. Who even shake their fist at Him that bring these things upon your land.  God in His might brings not ordinary rains to you. These are to help change what is to be. Water is a wonderful thing; it can quench the fire that burns but the time is coming when it will do you no good. 
The fire is fierce, it will make clear to all by sight that sentence of God is pursuing them. Know that at this time in the very heart of the water it will burn even more than the fire for those who run to it to quench it. Oh I ?..... you people are guilty, guilty of much!  Even the land has become guilty and thus the ruin of your harvest for creation is no longer obedient to the Father, who is its maker. The people even exert themselves to be disobedient. Thus must come a change. 
        The beloved children of God and all must learn that it is not by your crops that man is nourished, but by God’s word, which must be in you. For the fire cannot and will not destroy the word which lies in your heart.  The judgment is indeed great but man’s sin no longer remains secret but is known by the world. At one time the world was full of brilliant light, now Satan has done his work and this will be reason enough alone for the fall of a heavy darkness but even heavier than the darkness will be the sins which will drag men weeping to hell. While they deserve to be deprived of light be dragged to hell for having done so much to my son, the imperishable fire must be given to the world as they have resolved to kill the infants now man resolves to find other ways of hurting my son.  Now know too the ones who love God will to feel his greatness, his power. How I have pleaded! How have I wept for you my children, yet you have failed to hear my voice. So must it be. Know all has begun. 
     I weep for the loss of so many souls. Can you give yourself child to pray for them? You too will weep, but know there will come a time when the tears will cease and peace shall reign and so shall my Immaculate heart along with my Son. Tell the priests to pray and to pray hard for the conversion of souls and to prepare themselves for all to come. I love them as a mother loves a child. Be obedient to them even in times when they give thee pain. Love them with the heart of Jesus. You will see me not again until the time. Know my love remains with you.”

Then the Blessed Mother said I could give the message of the five angels that I have seen:

     The first Angel is an angel of war. The Lord has given him instructions to cause great disturbances in all places. No other explanations need to be given he said.

The second Angel says he will cause a great division in the Church. 
And I go back to when the Angel told me this…the Angel on July 20th 1983 said, “The Lord has said the judgment will begin with his own people before the purification. This judgment will be by many. 

     The Lord said to Peter, “Will you to leave me? Will you respond the same as Peter? Master where would I go? Satan is devouring many successfully, the reason is because the Lord our God wants a Church that holy. I want no marks to be upon her. There are so many who say I don’t know God’s will in my life. Be silent and listen to his word.
      Then the Lord said to me, “Pray to me, but do not think prayer is enough. I desire more of you. I want you to be holy. You must rid yourself of all that is unnecessary in your lives. Too much going on in your life to spend time with me. 
     The next question you will ask is how do I become holy? By coming to receive me as much as you possibly can. By using the sacraments  instead of ignoring them. By prayer in true reparation of all sins in one’s life. 
     Do I ask too much? Have you truly looked at how much I have given? If someone you loved deeply asked a favor of you would you turn them down? I tell you you would drop what you were doing to help that love one out, but what about me? I am your Father, your Creator, your all. And yet I ask so much. My sorrow was beat and many, but when one soul offers himself to my service how much joy comes to my heart. How the angels rejoice over this one soul. So much can be accomplished by just one soul. But do not say to me, “I will let another offer themselves”.  I want yours. I love you so much I want you enjoy all that comes from heaven. 
     Even on earth I will grant the times of a small taste of heaven to you to make the desire greater. But all I receive in return is rejection upon receiving what I give. Come to me, for I wait so patiently, I desire to fellowship with you. I will lead you and never shall you stray. I will lead you to holiness. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. Put yourself behind and seek me. As I heard this from our Lord I saw the Angel who brought this message bowing as these words were spoken. Never did he lift his head nor did he move a muscle in his body with his hands crossed over his chest. He bowed in complete adoration as the Lord spoke.

The Lord told me that I had to acknowledge this myself to see how the angels worship him and how we don’t give him the worship and adoration he deserves.

The third Angel is the angel of Famine.
The Angel said, “I the Angel of the Lord have been ordered to strike the fields and the crops.  The reason being is God wants all to share. Give to those who have not has always been the message the Lord has carried because you are a nation who is selfish.  You will to see what it is like to suffer.”

The fourth Angel that came was the angel of persecution.
This angel said there would be much suffering for those who would stand on the side of God. This will come about because of the division in the Church. To be on the right side will be wrong, and to be on the wrong side will be right; or so as the world will perceive it.

The fifth Angel who came said he carried the diseases and the plagues that would come upon this earth. 
He says plagues and disease would come without any cures. The doctors and all would be confused with all that would come. They will not hold the answers. The only one who we will be able to turn to is our Lord and our God, and our Blessed Mother.

Interviewer: Francis, what was our Blessed Mother wearing this morning when you saw her?

Well, my statue is the statue of our Lady of Fatima. So she wore her white gown. On her head was light blue lace. Even though my statue has a crown and flowers on her head, she was not wearing a crown or flowers when she became real. Her face remained the same as the statue, but it was real. She was crying tears.  When she was gone I went into the kitchen to write it all down and my children came into the kitchen and told me that our Lady’s statue has a tear in her left eye. The tear stayed over an hour. There is a stain now where it was. She used to look happy when I looked at the statue and now the statue doesn't look happy. You can tell it has changed.

I just received some hair from Padre Pio. (from a priest)  I have been praying to see if I should have a devotion to Padre Pio and I placed the piece of paper over by the statue and left and I went to go show my friend and it looked as if the tear that had been on the statue had dripped onto the piece of paper where the priest had signed his name. The tear had created two crosses. I think I know what the answer to my prayer is now.

Interviewer: Francis, you told me that our Lady told you that she would not be coming back to see you anymore, that you would not see her anymore. Could you explain?

     I will not see her anymore until that time. That is my death. I don’t know if she is going away for a period. I knew she would be coming to give me a message, because the last angel said she would be the one bringing me the message. That I couldn't put anything out until she had come and then when I tried talking about it yesterday our Lord told me to hold it until I saw Our Lady and Little did I realize it was going to be today. And today is the Queenship of Mary above all things! 

     But I know that I won’t see her anymore until it is time for me to die. It makes me wonder to, if everybody else will see her especially after the chastisement when she says, “there will be a reign of peace and my Immaculate heart will reign with my Sons”, and it makes me wonder if all will see her Immaculate heart and then will believe because that question was raised yesterday.

Interviewer: Is there anything else?

Francis: Just pray for the conversion of souls. Pray the rosary. Above all things pray because after seeing how sad she is about everything …because when I went back over and read everything at one point when she said men deserved to be deprived of life for having done so much to her son… it almost sounded like it was almost too cold, but understanding after I reread it, the understanding deep in my soul is that it wasn't cold at all. That I think it’s just the fact that she has seen her Son hurt so much… and she is hurting so much along with him that she is saying that what we get for our sins is what we truly deserve… and that she has been pleading and pleading and so is her son and this can’t keep going, the hurting is too much. I don’t know how much longer she can hold him back from punishing us… but it just makes me wonder how much closer we are to the chastisement… to the warning to everything; especially since I saw her crying.  It just makes me wonder how truly close are we?


     I want to thank the Lord for all he has done and it’s over. Satan has done a lot of attacking and the Lord was with me. All we must do is pray. We will just wait upon the Lord. We must pray as hard as we can. Whenever we feel like we are suffering and doing so much for the Lord, just look upon the cross, our suffering cannot be anything like his. It now is done and the message is finished. Stay in a state of grace. Go to confession confess everything and let nothing go un-confessed and stay in grace. I truly feel along with the girls of Garabandal that the warning is soon. To many people are feeling it inside themselves, and their spirit is restless.  Many are feeling the uneasiness. We must pray so much more!

Communism and Fatima and the Orthodox

The Ukrainian mystic Josyp Terelya wrote in his book ‘Body and Blood’ regarding communism and Russia,
 “In 1988…an amazing book by Tatiana Goricheva called Talking about God is Dangerous.
She first heard of Fatima at a Catholic Ecumenical seminar in Leningrad where ‘some of us went to pray the rosary on Wednesdays; from our Catholic friends we learned for the first time of the appearance of the Mother of God at Fatima and what she said there about Russia.  That not only made us glad, but also gave us a feeling of enormous responsibility; the fate of the whole world depends on the fate of Christianity in Russia.”
The Mother of God of Fatima prophesied so accurately and so lovingly that Russia would spread a diabolical doctrine in the world, but would finally rise…and again become Holy Russia and the house of the All-Holy Mother of God.

Communism is the moral enemy of God and man.
 It is atheistic and intrinsically evil. 
Communism is the total negation of everything that the Catholic Church ever stood for: justice, human rights, freedom of religion, personal freedom and legitimate governments.  
It claims to promote a ‘classless society’ but actually functions as a dictatorship of despots who exploit the toiling masses more viciously than any other tyrannical ruling class in the history of the world.

From a platform of absolute oppression, Communism unceasingly tries to mold the thinking of its victims.  Communism has been provoking and conducting wars of oppression.  In China alone Communism has slaughtered more than 60 million innocent people.  There have been more Christian martyrs in Communist countries than in all history before the advent of Communism. 

The Church can no longer remain silent.  By default we are contributing to the enslavement of millions whose future is bondage without hope.  You cannot be a Christian and a Communist. 

You cannot enter into détente with the devil.  A Christian cannot be an accomplice to terrorism.

     In Russia itself, the Orthodox religion is alive but tightly controlled by the government. In 1990, the Soviet Communist Party had only 17 million members, whereas Russian Christians total 70 million.  A man well informed about the struggle between Christianity and Marxism-Leninism over the past quarter of a century is Alexander Solzhenitsyn, the great Russian writer.  He grew up under communism and as an atheist and a science teacher, he accepted the party line.  It was only after he was imprisoned (for joking about Stalin) that he turned to Christianity.

     Though labeled “political prisoners”, he explains “Christians knew they were in prison for their faith. “  Sixty six million died in prison camps, he calculates, 25 percent of the total Soviet population.
         Solzhenitsyn, like myself, sees a need for the West—America in particular—to remain strong.  Some of the things hurting America are: moral permissiveness, weakness in the country’s diplomacy, the lack of religious faith, and the false judgments in the press.  For 25 years he has cried: Russia needs freedom of religion; America needs religion. 

     The first dictatorship was started by Lenin and Stalin in 1917, when they overthrew the Menshevik Party in power in Russia; five years later  this was followed in Europe by Mussolini, who did the same with Fascism in Italy, soon to be followed by Adolf Hitler, who did the same with the Nazi Party in Germany.  All three came into power due to the unbelievable negligence of peoples all over the world who failed to stand up for faith in God, for human lives and human rights.

         The fact that we have reached this current level in our nuclear age with its so-called scientific advances might be seen as the reason for the fourth and decisive event of the 20th century, which started also in 1917, at Fatima, when Our Lady demanded repentance of a sufficient number of people as a condition for prevention of nuclear war and a time of peace to mankind.  If enough of us had obeyed her requests at that time, World War II would have been prevented.

         The Swiss newspaper Schweizerisches Katholisches Sonntagsblat, reported the final days of Nocolai Lenin, widely regarded as the “father” of Communism.  It is interesting to note how he died.  He was well-known for his denial of God and fought against religion while challenging the existence of the immortal soul.

         Due to an incurable illness, Lenin lost his mind eighteen months prior to his death.  Since this fact was bad publicity for the Russian government, it was hidden from the people for months.  When they finally admitted the terminal nature of his illness, they gave the cause as “overwork”. 

         His death had a seemingly diabolical nature.  A whimpering and crying Lenin was confined for days to his bed or his wheelchail.  During the night such horrible howling could be heard from his room which antagonized the watchdogs to such a point that they howled along, and even dogs in the neighboring villages joined in.  The watchdogs had to be killed. 

         The castle in the town of Gorki, where Lenin was located, was patrolled by police day and night.  It looked like a besieged fortress.  His comrades stayed away, and only his wife and two nurses cared for him.  He knew no one.  His body started to rot three months prior to his death.  Finally, only nuns would take care of him.  The nuns were stationed in a not-yet-liquidated cloister outside Moscow.  On January 21, 1924 Lenin died.  German specialists had the delicate task of embalming his almost totally-decayed body.

         But with Lenin’s death Communism did not end, for, once again, we are standing at the turning point of history.  The fate of mankind hangs in the balance.  We must stop compromising with Communism.  We must no longer indulge in the perversion of providing money and moral support for Communistic ventures.  We must reassert the meaning of Christianity against Communistic atheism. 

Communists with neckties are merely smarter, but not less dangerous than Communists in Mao jackets.

         After 25 years of Communist oppression on Mainland China, a bell of freedom was sounded on April 6, 1976 in Peking when 100,000 Chinese at the Gate of Heavenly Peace Square (Tien  An Men) opposed publicly the Communist Government.  They were the forerunners of other millions of Chinese people all over the Mainland China now rebelling against the Communist regime.

         In the news on May 13, 1989, Beijing, China, it was reported:  “More than 1,000 university students began a hunger strike tonight, calling for democracy and pressing their demand for political reform, personal liberty, and an end to government corruption.”  Was this related to Fatima?

         Hope lasted another three weeks.  Then the Peoples’ Liberation Army fired on the people, killing many and burning the remains with macabre efficiency.  The world was shocked by the bloody massacre in Tiananmen Square, June 3-4, 1989, then stunned by the “big lie” national Chinese leaders attempted to perpetrate by stating that events witnessed by millions never happened, that not one student had died.  The hideous face of Communism showed itself once more. 

         The official doctrine of Marxism-Leninism states that it is the duty of every citizen to fight against religion.  From this point of view Marxism-Leninism is not a political doctrine but a world –view to explain reality while (much more sinister) claiming the sole valid explanation.

         It has long been known that the zeal and dedication of the atheists of Russia and their world-followers in opposing and destroying religion often puts us Christians to shame.  Advancing the claim “There is no God!” by every means possible (including Martyrdom if necessary) these atheists make a “religion” out of a non-religion. 

         The Marxist system in effect creates what would be considered as two separate classes of citizens: those who follow the “state religion” of atheism, and those who do not.  And the latter must pay dearly.  Religious believers in Russia cannot enter civil service as teachers or officials, and are either denied entrance to the universities of impeded by difficulties in entering.  They also remain excluded from all civic activities except voting and military service, unless they keep their beliefs to themselves. 

         The Soviet struggle to eradicate religion in Russia has not only failed but proved to be useless waste of enormous energy.  The men behind today’s religious awakening (in the Soviet Union) are not nostalgic for the old days under the Czars, nor are they men with personal problems which spur them to mysticism.  For the most part they are men who have lived in a socialist state since infancy but who have not sidestepped the problem of the origin and purpose of life: they have found the answer in Christ.

         St. John Bosco’s prophecy could be beginning to come true.  The Saint understood from his vision that the second turning aside of the Red menace would be a far greater victory than that of Lepanto in 1571.  And he was told by Our Lady it would happen in the 20th Century!

THE SECOND SECRET OF FATIMA---
         The three children of Fatima had been given three secrets.  Most individuals are aware of the first secret and have heard a great deal about the third one.  The former concerned a vision of Hell.  On July 13, 1917, Our Lady, having told the children to make sacrifices for sinners, gave them a vision of Hell.

…When the terrified children looked to Our Lady for help, she said, “You have seen hell where the souls of poor sinners go.  In order to save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart.  If you do what I tell you, many souls will be saved.”

         The second secret concerns Russia.
   When Communism was still only a brainchild, on July 13, 1917, Our Lady appeared for the third time to the children, giving them the second secret, she said:

“…I shall come to ask the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate heart and the Communion of reparation on the First Saturdays.  If my requests are heeded, Russia will be converted and there will be peace.  If not, she will scatter her errors throughout the world provoking further wars and persecution of the Church.  The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer and various nations will be annihilated.”
         Thats it!  The problem and the solution all in the second secret!  This may have been the most significant prophecy every made by Our Lady in private revelation.  Read the above paragraph once again! Ponder what Our Lady has asked for. Consider what she said would be the result of a response or non-response to her requests.  Consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart AND Communions of reparation on First Saturdays.  Has the First Saturday devotion been a part of your life?  If not, perhaps you are not giving Our Lady what she requested. 

         …Twelve years later, in 1929 , eight months after Lucia’s profession in the convent at Pontevedra, Spain (which occurred in October, 1928) Lucia received one of the greatest of all her visions in which Our Lady said: “The moment has come for God to ask the Holy Father to make, in union with all the Bishops of the world, the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart.  He promises to save Russia by this means.”

         However---and this is important---in letters written by Sr. Lucia in the 1930’s, she makes it clear that reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary is necessary.  This practice of reparation is ultimately intended to bring about the conversion of Russia through the collegial consecration.  The delay in accomplishing this was related to INSUFFICIENT REPARATION.

         The kind of reparation specifically referred to in the secrets and visions of Fatima were praying the Rosary, wearing the Scapular, and Communion on the Five First Saturdays.  There are two reasons why everyone would want to make the Five First Saturdays (which include praying the Rosary and wearing the Scapular):

         First, Our Lady promises to anyone who makes the Five Saturdays her presence at the hour of death, with all the graces needed for salvation.  This promise adds a great deal to the promise which Our Lord made for the Nine First Fridays in horror of the Sacred Heart.  In addition to promising us heaven, Our Lady promises us the grace of dying well.  She promises her presence at the hour of death!

         All who lead good lives have a reasonable assurance of going to Heaven, but how wonderful it is to have the assurance of dying well…of dying in the arms of Mary…of being presented into the presence of God by His Mother!

         The second reason why we should make the five First Saturdays is that our Lady promised by this means to bring about the conversion of Russia and an end to the world crisis.

         Reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, besides redressing the offences and blasphemies against Our Lady, is intended to avoid the evils which would result from the non-conversion of Russia.  On August 29, 1931, Lucia wrote,

 “The consecration will be done but it will be late.  Russia will already have spread her errors throughout the world.”

         When Lucia asked our Lord in 1936 why He would not convert Russia without this difficult form of consecration, He answered,
“Because I want all the Church to recognize his consecration as a triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, so that this devotion will then be extended and placed beside devotion to My Divine Heart.”

Lucia implies that the consecration will not have a talismanic effect on Russia: rather, it will be a “sign” of the conversion of that nation.  Our Lord and Our Lady must be responding to the many thousands of prayers, sacrifices, and countless Holy Hours and All-Night Vigils and the collegial consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  We have the positive assurance of the great promise of Mary.  We have the positive assurance of the great promise of ultimate victory: 

“In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph….and there will be an era of peace.”
         On June 12, 1930, Lucia wrote:
     “Our Lord promises that the persecution in Russia will end if the Holy Father deigns to make, together with all the Bishops of the Catholic world, a solemn public act of reparation and consecration of Russia to the Most Holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary.”
         In a letter Lucia wrote to her spiritual director on July 15, 1940, she said:
         “The conversion of Russia will be done, but not for the moment.  God wants it this way for the present to punish the world for its crimes.  We deserve it.  Afterwards He will listen to our humble prayers.”
We are also told how we will recognize the “conversion of Russia”: the persecution will cease.  This could be NOW…if we pray enough.

CHAPTER IX— 

Volodimir
The year was 1983, I was in a penal camp. One day I got to know an unusual prisoner, a former Soviet army officer. 

His name was Volodimir and he hailed from east Siberia where he was raised in an orphanage. His Ukrainian parents, from Poitava, died during the great artificial famine that was orchestrated by the Masons/Communists of USSR.

Volodimir was an interesting fellow and we engaged in endless conversations. There was only one trait that irked me and that was his hostility to God.

Time passed.

One day, both of us were punished by being suspended in chains from the ceiling. It was a painful torture. It usually led to shoulders becoming dislocated because of the pull exerted by the dangling body.

Both of us got a 24-hour sentence. 

We hung together in the same cell.

After about an hour of this, Volodimir begged and pleaded with the guards. He was ready to do anything they asked of him. 

For me, this was not the first time, so I hung on in silence. They let him down. He was a wreck.

Volodimir could not understand why I wouldn’t give in. All through the hanging, he kept glancing in amazement at my silence.

----Don’t you hate them?

----Why aren’t’ you cursing them?

After this event, his attitude did an about-face.

He asked me for a Bible that I had kept hiding. Shortly after that, Volodimir was moved out of my cell. 

Several months passed.

I met Volodimir again during one of the routine gatherings of prisoners. 

----“Can I become a Christian?” he asked.

Several weeks later he was baptized by Father Anton.

After this, like many converts, Volodimir would openly speak about Christ. He also started writing poems and songs about Jesus and Mary. This was a marked departure from his previous behavior. Volodimir was a typical military type who had exhibited little literary inclinations.

All this changed dramatically. It led to escalating problems with camp authorities. 

On one occasion, Volodimir brought me a poem about the Virgin Mary. It was beautiful. It had touched me more than any I had previously read.

Soon after that Volodimir became subjected to a barrage of harsh persecutions. He was put in solitary confinement. This only increased his output of poems about Jesus and Mary.

The authorities responded by breaking and mangling his right hand. He never recovered its use.

Volodimir switched to using his left hand. 

Tragedy followed. Two degenerate Russians, Lieutenant Saburov and Captain Litvinov, thrust his left arm into a woodchopper. It was ripped off at shoulder level.

Volodimer was handless but the Lord did not leave him. 

Volodimer’s strength grew with the horrors of his ordeals.

It was incredible to see a man, who had not been able to tolerate one hour of hanging from the ceiling, transformed into a being who feared nothing and who bore no rancor for his enemies.

One day I was released from solitary and was about to be discharged from that particular camp.

Near the door I was met by a smiling Volodimir. Between clenched teeth, he held a paper with a new song. It was titled, “Oh Jesus Come to Me”. 

This song was written by brother Volodimir with a pencil held between his teeth. A month later I left the prison with his song.

I never saw him again.He died in prison.

Whenever I think of him, his song rises hauntingly within me.

Oh Jesus Come to Me

Don’t leave me, Jesus, do not leave me
I’m frightened, without you, on this path
The night is not a time to be alone
The forest dark to cross
Jesus, my pathfinder, be always with me

From early years I stumbled 
You helped me when I fell
Guardian, in this world of wrongs and woes
I need your firm supporting hand
Don’t leave me, Jesus, do not leave me

A clashing cymbal am I
When love of others in not in me
The spark of life is love
Without You dark prevails
Be my fire, Jesus, be my fire

EWTN showed the Mass, exposition, and prayer of consecration at the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima in Portugal. Cardinal Polycarpo wrote the prayer of consecration for Pope Francis's papacy to Our Lady of Fatima and in the end he expressed hope that Pope Francis would come to Fatima for a papal visit. The theme for today was 'be not afraid' because that is what Our Lady told Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco when she first spoke. In addition, last evening they said that they consecrated all the youth of the world and expressed great enthusiasm for the upcoming World Youth Day.--Maryann-www.motheofgod.com

     Now we wait in joyful hope for the Holy Father, Pope Francis to go to Fatima. "It will be late, much blood will have been shed, but he will do it."

PREPARING FOR THE IMMINENT TRIBULATION, WARNING AND CHASTISEMENT PROPHESIED BY THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY AT FATIMA, GARABANDAL & AKITA

     This first talk will try to connect the historical dots beginning with the well-known locution of Pope Leo XIII at the end of the 19th Century to try to see the outline of the final conflict between God and the Kingdom of darkness that is rebelling against Him.  The rebellion is led by Satan and God has delegated leadership of the host of heaven to the Blessed Mother with Archangel Michael. 
  Paul's reference in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 to the Mystery of Iniquity being already at work in secret, and God's allowing the deception of deliberate nonbelievers and the unrighteous, is echoed in the Blessed Mother's warning to Sister Lucia of Fatima of a diabolical disorientation within the Church contributing to a future apostasy, and of our Mother's prophesy in 1961 to the four Garabandal visionaries that they would later contradict one another and come to doubt having experienced the visions as part of the same confusion that now exists in the Church. 
 
     This first will focus on the 1st and 2nd parts of the Secret of Fatima; especially the vital importance of devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Consecration of Russia.  The second will consider the claims of the Vatican's 26 June 2000 publication, The Message of Fatima, that John Paul II's 1984 consecration of the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary has been accepted by heaven as fulfilling Mary's request at Fatima for the papal consecration of Russia, and to have fully revealed the 3rd part of the Fatima Secret.  It will then consider the Tribulation, the Warning, and the Miracle and the “Chastisement prophesied by the Blessed Mother at Garabandal and Akita, and suggest personal spiritual preparation for them. 

 I want to assure you that I love each one of the popes I refer to.  We must be merciful as Christ is merciful to obtain mercy we must love one another; especially our pontiffs even in our miseries and pray for them as Mary prays for us.

 On 13 October 1884 Pope Leo XIII had just finished celebrating holy Mass when he fell into a mystical state and heard Satan boast to Jesus that he could destroy his Church if Jesus would give him power for 100 years over all those who would serve him.  Jesus agreed!  Leo became pale with alarm and wrote a strong prayer invoking God's protection of his Church through Archangel Michael and his heavenly cohort.  This prayer, modified in 1930, was said by all the faithful after low mass throughout the church until 1971.

     Satan began this final battle in Holy Russia in 1905 seizing on existing social, economic and political injustice as the opportunity to foment violent uprisings.  On 22 January 1095 thousands of impoverished Muscovites carrying only religious icons and led by an Orthodox priest converged on the Winter Palace of their Tsar with five petitions: amnesty for those already arrested, certain civil liberties, a living wage, gradual land reform and universal suffrage.  In response the Tsar's Cossacks attacked the unarmed petitioners killing over 1,000. That provoked mutiny in the navy and a peasant revolt that involved up to 2,800,000 persons by the time order was restored in December. But the underlying issues of injustice were not resolved and discontent seethed until the "Great War" of 1914-1918 was nearing its end.

     In mid March of 1917 revolution began in Russia within the armed forces.  Within two weeks the Bolshevik Lev Trotsky had boarded a ship in New York for Russia.  In April Vladimir Lenin with a small contingent of his Bolsheviks was secretly returned from thirteen years of voluntary exile in Switzerland through Germany and Sweden in a sealed railway car by Kaiser Wilhelm, intending to further destabilize Russia.  The Bolsheviks gradually gained control of the revolutionaries and were able to control most of the government by October 1917.  After three more years of brutal civil war the Bolsheviks had totally replaced the autocracy of the Christian Czar with the totalitarianism of satanic dictatorship.  Terror and the Gulag were added to a new system of social, economic and political injustice, but now directed against God and his Church, and all opposition.

      Satan's pride compelled him to reveal his hand in the destruction of Holy Russia from the start of the revolution.  In 1905 when Catherine de Hueck Doherty was a nine year old girl living comfortably with her family in rural Russia, it was customary for pilgrims to walk long distances to pray at its many shrines. One evening a single old woman pilgrim sought shelter at the farm of Catherine's family and the family and servants eagerly gathered by kerosene lamps around a crackling fireplace to hear tell of her pious adventures. Well into the evening, after relating many blessings received at the holy shrines, the woman told of passing through a thick forest with a growing sense of an evil presence that even set the forest creatures on edge.  Around a bend another road joined hers and a single man walking in her direction joined her.  Although she sensed some evil about him he behaved well.  He didn't use a Christian greeting, just calling her Granny.  When she told him of her holy pilgrimage he laughed about religion being superstition fed to peasants by priests to pacify them to accept the many injustices that afflicted them.  He was eloquent and persuasive and she soon began to believe him. Then he began mocking the Blessed Mother and calling the virgin birth fiction and devotion to Mary idolatry.  She quietly took a small bottle of holy water and sprinkled him with it in the name of Jesus and the Holy Trinity.  He screamed, fell twisting to the ground an before vanishing cried out: "You old fool! All Russia will be covered with rivers of blood over the things I've said.  Millions will think like I do.  There will be moaning and groaning and tears all over this land.  I am out to win it and win it I will.  And neither your God nor your Blessed Virgin will be able to save it."

The old woman fainted in terror.  Awakening, she continued walking cautiously.

 Suddenly, there was a very great light on the road, and a young woman, dressed just like me in a pilgrim's garb, with an icon on her breast, came up gently to my side.  'Fear not, Grandma, ' she said, 'it is true what the man said, but he as not a man.  These things will come to pass so that Holy Russia may hang on the cross with my Son to redeem the world.  The only way the world can be redeemed is through suffering with my Son.  Fear not.  There will come a day when, under the sign of my Son, I will lead Russia to show my Son's face to the world.'  Then she vanished too, and  I saw the lights of the village.

   Like the blasphemy Goliath hurled against God, Satan's blasphemy against Christ echoes through our times waiting for a modern David to crush him to uphold the honor of God.  Young David had only five smooth stones and his skill with his sling.  Yet his faith and his courage vanquished Goliath because God was with him!  As we shall see, our Pontiffs have the promise of Jesus' Holy Mother Mary that when the Pope together with his Bishops solemnly consecrates Russia to her Immaculate Heart, and leads the Church in First Saturday reparatory devotions to her Immaculate Heart, and leads the Church in First Saturday reparatory devotions to her Immaculate heart, she will convert Russia and a period of peace will be granted to the world.

 Is that not the "day when, under the sign of my Son, I will lead Russia to show my Son's face to the world"  prophesied by Mary to the pilgrim in Catherine Doherty's story?  Is not this leadership of the Blessed Mother in the Church's war against Satan prophesied in Genesis 3:15-16 and Revelation 11:19-12:6, 13-17?

 By 1917 WWI had been killing the youth of Europe for three years.  On 5 May Pope Benedict XV penned a letter in which he turned to our Blessed Mother  in prayer for peace in the midst of the terror and darkness that  had raged since August, 1914.  Benedict was an experienced, well connected diplomat, but all his Vatican diplomacy had failed to bring peace.  Now he turned to Mary:

 He wrote:  Our earnestly pleading voice, invoking the end of the vast conflict, the suicide of civilized Europe, was then and has remained ever since unheard.  Indeed it seemed that the dark tide of hatred grew higher and wider among the belligerent nations, and drew other countries into its frightful sweep, multiplying ruin and massacre.  Nevertheless Our confidence was not lessened...Since all graces which the Author of all good deigns to grant to the poor children of Adam, by a loving design of His Divine Providence are dispensed through the hands of the most holy Virgin, we wish that the petition of Her most afflicted children, more than ever in this terrible hour, may turn with lively confidence to the august Mother of God.

     A week later, on 13 May and again on 13 June 1917, our Blessed Mother responded to Benedict's prayer in the first two of six visitations to three young seers, Jacinta and her brother Francisco Marto, and their cousin Lucia dos Santos, at the village of Fatima in central Portugal.  On 13 July 1917 Our Lady appeared to them for the third time and on that day revealed to them in 3 parts heaven's plan to prevent many souls from being lost, and to bring a period of real peace to the world, but told them it was a secret not to be revealed until she gave permission.  She asked them to come again on the 13th of the next month and to pray the Rosary daily in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary for world peace and for the end of the war "because only she can help you."  She promised to perform a miracle on 13 October "for all to see and believe.. and she kept her promise."   On 8 December 1941 Lucia, then a sister of the Order of St. Dorothy wrote out parts One and Two and according to Fatima scholars the first sentence of part three of the Secret as follows:

         Sacrifice yourselves for sinners, and say many times, especially whenever you make some sacrifice:  O Jesus, it is for love of You, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

       As our Lady spoke these last words, she opened her hands once more, as she had done during the two previous months.  The rays of light seemed to penetrate the earth, and we saw as it were a sea of fire. Plunged in this fire were demons and souls in human form. ...Terrified and as if to plead for succor, we looked up at Our Lady, who said to us, so kindly and so sadly: 'You have seen hell where the souls of poor sinners go.  To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart.  If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace.  The war is going to end; but if people do not cease offending God, a worse one will break out during the pontificate of Pius XI.  When you see a night illumined by an unknown light, know that this  is the great sign given you by God that He is about to punish the world for its crimes, by means of war, famine, and persecutions of the Church and of the Holy Father. 

     To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart and the Communion of reparation on the First Saturdays.  If my requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church.  The good will be martyred; the Holy Father will have much to suffer; various nations will be annihilated.  In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph.  The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, and she will be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world.  In Portugal, the dogma of the Faith will always be preserved; etc...Do not tell this to anybody.  Francisco, yes you may tell him. 

              When you pray the Rosary, say after each mystery: O my Jesus, forgive us, save us from the fire of hell.  Lead all souls to heaven, especially those who are most in need.

     How are we to understand the Blessed Mother's message that to save sinners from going to hell God wishes to establish in the world devotion to her Immaculate Heart?  In Lumen Gentium 61-62 The Second Vatican Council proclaims the perennial Catholic truth that: 

By her manifold intercession, she continues to win the gifts of eternal salvation for us.  By her motherly love, she takes care of the brothers of her Son who are still in pilgrimage and in dangers and difficulties, until they be led through to the happy fatherland.  For this reason, the Blessed Virgin is invoked in the Church under the titles of Advocate, Auxiliatrix, Adjutrix, and Mediatrix. 


       It follows that the most pure, the Immaculate Heart of Mary, not only beckons us to follow her in being pure of heart, free from earthly chains to do the will of God, but also that she is able to obtain for us the divine assistance we require to do so!  For, while when baptized we are indwelt by the Blessed Trinity and divinely infused with inclinations to both theological and moral virtue, we can grow strong in the practice of Faith, Hope and Charity, Prudence, Justice, Fortitude and Temperance only with the help of the Holy Spirit, the Sanctifier.  By acting within us with his gifts of Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Fortitude, Knowledge, Piety and Fear of God this Sanctifier can mold us ever more perfectly into the image of Jesus that God intends us to be.  As his holiness Leo XIII teaches in his encyclical on the Holy Spirit, Divinum Illud Munus

     The just man, that is to say he who lives the life of divine grace, and acts by the fitting virtues as by means of faculties, has need of those seven gifts which are properly attributed to the Holy Ghost.  By means of them the soul is furnished and strengthened so as to obey more easily and promptly His voice and impulse.

    So it is not surprising that God should choose to save sinners by establishing in the world devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  As daughter of the eternal Father she, being immaculately conceived and full of grace, cooperated perfectly with the Divine Will to become the new Eve of his heart.  As spouse of the eternal Spirit she yielded to his movement within her soul and body to become the Ark of the New Covenant.  As mother of the eternal Son she entered a most intimate union with him from the moment of his conception through his death, resurrection and eternal glorification.  Finally, from his cross Jesus made her our mother.  By choosing to establish devotion in the world to the Immaculate Heart of this uniquely privileged woman he has made to be our Mother and Queen God intends that we gain her most powerful intercession with him to send his eternal Spirit to save with his gifts those sinners who will be open to receive them.  Yes, Christ alone is Savior and Redeemer.  But as Mediatrix of all Graces, Mary is indispensable to our salvation. 

     Blessed John Paul II explained the efficaciousness of Mary's motherhood in his homily at Fatima on 13 May 1982:
     When Jesus on the Cross said: 'Woman, behold, you son (John 19:26), in a new way he opened his Mother's Heart, the Immaculate Heart, and revealed to it the new dimensions and extent of the love to which she was called in the Holy Spirit by the power of the sacrifice of the Cross...The  solicitude of the Mother of the Savior is solicitude for the work of salvation: the work of her Son.  It is solicitude for the salvation, the eternal salvation, of all.

     Precious insights into God's predilection for the Immaculate Heart of Mary were given to Sister Lucia at Pontevedra, Spain in 1925 and again at Tuy, Spain in 1929.  On 10 December 1925 she was an 18 year old postulant in the convent of the Sisters of Saint Dorothy in Pontevedra.  That evening she had just returned to her cell after supper when she was visited by Our Lady and the Child Jesus.  She writes of herself in the third person:

     On December 10, 1925, the Most Holy Virgin appeared to her, and by Her side, elevated on a luminous cloud, was the Child Jesus.  The Most Holy Virgin rested Her hand on her shoulder, and as She did so, She showed her a heart encircled by thorns, which She was holding in Her other hand.  At the same time, the Child said: 'Have compassion on the Heart of your Most Holy Mother, covered with thorns, with which ungrateful men pierce It at every moment, and there is no one to make an act of reparation to remove them.'

     This image of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, first shown to Lucia on 10 December 1925 at Pontevedra, is the same as that which Jesus revealed to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque on 16 June 1675 at Paray-Le-Monial in France.  Jesus had explained to Margaret Mary that the flames depicted his burning love for souls and the thorns depicted his pain that his love was neither appreciated nor returned. 

Consider the insight of John Paul II that "when Jesus on the Cross said: 'Woman, behold your son (John 19:26), in a new way he opened his Mother's Heart, the Immaculate Heart, and revealed to it the new dimensions and extent of the love to which she was called in the Holy Spirit by the power of the sacrifice of the Cross..."

Given that insight, does this vision of the Immaculate Heart of Mary not reveal that the hearts of Jesus and Mary beat as one in the predilection of the Father? Thus, while the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary certainly includes the assertion in the Vatican’s  The Message of Fatima that “The Heart open to God, purified by contemplation of God, is stronger than guns and weapons of every kind, “and that  “thanks to her Yes, God could become man in our world and remains so for all time.”  

Its significance within the whole cloth of the first and second parts of the Secret of Fatima and the subsequent visions and messages given to Sister Lucia at Pontevedra and Tuy comprehends much more. 

Mary told the seers at Fatima that God …punish [es] the world for its crimes, by means of war, famine, and persecutions of the Church and of the Holy Father…To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of Reparation on the First Saturdays…In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph.  The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, and she will be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world.
Given God’s predilection for her Immaculate Heart, one can conclude that the conversion of Russia will occur by the power of the Holy Spirit given to Russians in response to the requested consecration of Russia and the First Saturday devotions, both to her Immaculate Heart.  From such triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary a period of peace will be granted to the world.

     Our Lord, himself, explained this to Lucia as she stated in a hand-written letter to Father Goncalves on 18 May 1936.  As Adolph Hitler was then preparing Germany for an aggressive war and Joseph Stalin was fomenting civil war in Spain, Fr. Goncalves had written asking Lucia concerning the consecration of Russia.  She replied:
 Intimately I have spoken to Our Lord about the subject, and not too long ago I asked Him why He would not convert Russia without the Holy Father making that consecration?
[Jesus replies.]’Because I want My whole Church to acknowledge that consecration as a triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, so that it may extend its cult later on, and put the devotion to This Immaculate Heart beside the devotion to My Sacred Heart.’ [Lucia then pleads with Jesus.] By my God, the Holy Father probably won’t believe me, unless You, Yourself move him with a special inspiration.[Jesus.] ‘The Holy Father. Pray very much for the Holy Father.  He will do it, but it will be late.  Nevertheless the Immaculate Heart of Mary will save Russia.  It has been entrusted to Her.’ [Emphasis added]
     On 13 June 1929 both Jesus and Mary appeared to Lucia in the convent chapel at Tuy and told her that the time had come for her to communicate Heaven’s plan for peace revealed at Fatima to the Holy Father.  She did in at least two letters to Pope Pius XI through her spiritual director and through her bishop, but received no response.  Jesus, himself, confirmed both his vicar’s receipt of this plan for peace from Lucia, and His Holiness’ failure to comply, in an apparition to Lucia at the little seaside chapel in Rianjo where she was recuperation from a lingering illness in August 1931.  Lucia explains this in a letter to her Bishop written 29 August 1931:
     My confessor orders me to inform Your Excellency of what took place a little while ago between the Good Lord and myself:  as I was asking God for the conversion of Russia, Spain and Portugal, it seemed to me that His Divine Majesty said to me: ‘You console Me a great deal by asking Me for the conversion of those poor nations.  Ask it also of My Mother frequently, saying: Sweet Heart of Mary, be the salvation of Russia, Spain, Portugal Europe and the whole world.  At other times say: By your pure and Immaculate Conception, O Mary, obtain for me the conversion of Russia, Spain, Portugal, Europe and the entire world.Make it known to my ministers that given they follow the example of the King of France in the delaying the execution of My request, that they will follow him into misfortune.  It will never be too late to have recourse to Jesus and Mary.[Emphasis added.]
      Lucia reiterated the consequences of His Holiness’ inaction in a letter to Fr. Goncalves written on 21 January 1935: 
“Regarding the matter of Russia, I think that it would please Our Lord very much if you worked to make the Holy Father comply with His wishes.  About three years ago our Lord was very displeased because His request had not been attended to and I made this fact known to the bishop in a letter.”  
A year later, as part of the letter to Fr. Goncalves detailing the apparition at Tuy, Lucia repeats Jesus severe warning of August 1931:
  “Later on, by means of an interior communication, Our Lord complainingly said to me: ‘They did not want to heed My request.  Like the King of France they will repent and do so, but it will be late.  Russia will already have spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church.  The Holy Father will have much to suffer!”
On the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 17 June, and again on 28 August, 1689, St. Margaret Mary Alacoque wrote to Mother de Saumaise, her prioress at the Visitation Monestery of Paray-le-Monial, to have a message the saint had received from Jesus requesting that the King consecrate France to His most Sacred Heart, delivered to him.  Margaret Mary expressed Heaven’s wish that Jesus’ Sacred Heart receive

  “the consecration and homage of the king and the entire court.  Moreover, this divine Heart wishes to become the protector and defender of his sacred person against all his enemies visible and invisible, to defend him against them, and assure his salvation by this means.” 

The saint added that Jesus had chosen that the Jesuits deliver this message to Louis XIV and spread this devotion to His Sacred Heart, specifically mentioning a Father de la Chaise because of his influence over Louis’ heart.  Historians surmise that Fr. De le Chaise either refused to deliver the message to Louis, or was not willing to advocate that the king comply, or that Louis XIV soul was not sufficiently humble to comprehend the greatness being offered.  It is certain that this initiative of Jesus’ Sacred Heart was not understood and Margaret Mary’s admonitions were of no avail.

  There can be no doubt of the consequences of the refusal of kings Louis XIV through XVI to comply with Heaven’s will regarding the consecration of France and devotion to Jesus’ Sacred Heart.  One hundred years tot eh day after Margaret Mary penned her first letter to her prioress, the French peasants, led by atheist philosophers and Masonic anti-Church propagandists, overthrew the Catholic monarchy and proclaimed their new National Assembly to be the legitimate government of France.  The subsequent terror included the suppression and fanatical persecution of the Catholic Church, the French nobility and the execution of King Louis XVI on 21 January 1793.

While the French revolution could not have happened without the well-known injustices callously inflicted on those outside the privileged and elitist classes within the nobility and even within the church during the eighteenth century, one must consider how Catholic France fell to such moral, spiritual, material and social misery.

  Although that question is beyond the scope of this talk, the texts of Heaven’s messages to both Saint Margaret Mary and to the seers of Fatima strongly suggest that in the century following the death of Louis XIV in 1701 France was “deprived of the increase of extraordinary graces and miraculous help of the Sacred Heart” and was unable to cope with the internal “frivolousness, deadly errors, cowardice and betrayals which soon brought about its ruin.”  The theological heresies, the Masonic Counter-Church and a “satanic hatred against God, against Christ and against His Church” were thus able to exploit the wide-spread misery to prepare the revolution.

By a parity of reasoning the same inferences can be made regarding the disastrous consequences for the world and for the Church of the failure of the succession of Roman pontiffs from Pius XI to John Paul II to comply with Heaven’s request, although there are good reason to conclude that John Paul I would have complied, but for his sudden, tragic and mysterious death.  Albino Cardianl Luciani of Venice had visited Sister Lucia in Coimbra privately for several hours in 1977 just months before he became Pope John Paul I.  Lucia requested the private visit after Luciani had celebrated mass for the cloistered Carmelites, Cardinals having access to the seer without Vatican permission. 

We don’t know if or how much of the third part of the Secret of Fatima Lucia revealed to the Cardinal, but in early 1978 the usually jovial prelate explained his apparent pensiveness and absorption to his brother and sister-in-law, Edoardo and Antonietta Luciani, by saying that “I was just thinking of what Sister Lucia told me at Coimbra…The Secret, it’s terrible.”  Luciani held Lucia in high esteem and it is probable that he would have acted on Heaven’s Plan for Peace, had he lived. 

     Given that Jesus’ “ministers” have failed to “heed My request” proposed at Fatima in 1917 and made at Tuy in 1929, one could conclude that they also have been “deprived of the increase of extraordinary graces and miraculous help” from Heaven to prevent the “satanic hatred agains God, against Christ and against His Church” of its enemies, visible and invisible, within and without the Church , from influencing pivotal decisions and initiatives that have yielded tragic consequences for the Church and the world.

     Had Pius XI or Pius XII obeyed Heaven’s request for the consecration and First Saturday reparatory devotions communicated through Sister Lucia in 1929, the Queen of Heaven would have been graced to convert Russia and lead that nation to convert the world to Christ.  World War II would have been avoided and the world would have been blessed with a period of peace.  Instead Russia still spreads her errors throughout the world, souls are lost to occultism, atheism and sin of all kinds, and we live in a state of continuous war.  Further, a sad a disappointed Jesus had warned Lucia in 1931 that if his “ministers” were late in performing the consecration and leading the Church in the First Saturday reparatory devotions, they would suffer the same fate as the Kings of France.  It appears to many, including myself, that Jesus’ warning has been and will continue to be fulfilled in the persons of our pontiffs.  Had they obeyed would not God have blessed their sowing with super-abundant fruit and opposed the contrary efforts of all their enemies, visible and invisible, within and without the Church?

     In making Peter and his successors his vicars on earth Christ has irrevocably delegated to them his authority over all people, including those in schism or accepting heretical and even atheistic and pagan beliefs.  As Leo XIII explained in his encyclical of 25 May 1899, Annum Sacrum, the whole can be consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus:
 “Indeed the empire of Jesus Christ does not extend to Catholic nations only…But the power of Christ extends also over all those who live outside the Christian faith; it is thus an unquestionable truth that the whole human race is under the power of Jesus Christ.”  

With faith in Jesus our pontiffs could follow Peter and in obedience to Heaven’s request, pay out their nets for a catch.  As Peter’s nets were filled with fish then, today many souls would be saved, Russia would be converted and the world would be blessed with a period of peace.  But Satan’s hand is clearly revealed working against compliance through the complexities, betrayals and intrigues that have confronted our pontiffs through the last century and into the present. 

     Pope Pius XI began his reign on 6 February 1922 by following the Ostpolitik begun by Benedict XV understandably seeking to cooperate with the Soviet Government to mitigate the Russian misery following the Great War and the Bolshevik revolution and to secure the safety of both Orthodox believers and the Roman Catholic Church in Russia.  In early 1930 the pontiff received but remained incredulous to Sister Lucia’s communications of Heaven’s request for the consecration and First Saturday devotions.  He believed that such a serious request, if from Heaven, would have been communicated directly to him. 

Moreover, what was suggested “seemed to him contrary to his designs.  The direction of the Church was his business – he knew, better than anybody else, the road to follow!  But after 15 years of vainly trusting in Vatican diplomacy to accomplish these ends amid the communist terror, genocide, persecution of the Church and the torture and murder of thousands of priests and bishops, and imprisonment or death of millions of the faithful, his holiness published on 19 March 1937 an incisive encyclical against communism, Divini Redemptoris. 

After detailing the methodical persecutions in Russia, Mexico and Spain as barbarous, intrinsically perverse and diabolical, the pontiff repeated several times that “communism directed by Moscow” accomplished these atrocities which “are the natural fruits of a system which is lacking all interior restraints.”  He concluded with an unambiguous order to the Church:  “Communism is intrinsically perverse, and no one who would save Christian civilization may collaborate with it in any undertaking whatsoever.”  The pontiff urged his Bishops that, following the teaching of Christ to his apostles, they must lead the fight against demonic Communism by fostering and intensifying “the spirit of prayer joined with Christian penance.” 

     But Satan works his mystery of iniquity against Jesus’ Church beyond organized communism.  His holiness had finally come to see the demonic behind other enemies of the Church in the systematic attempt to drive God from the hearts and minds of the Mexican people in the 1920’s.  In 1926 the Freemason Plutarco Calles became president.  He was fanatically anti-Catholic and determined to exterminate Catholicism by legislating and strictly enforcing the anti-Catholic provisions of the new Constitution of 1917, and adding others of his own.  In 1926, Calles regime launched a new offensive to bury the Church.

  He wrote: Now there must be a psychological revolution.  We must penetrate and take hold of the minds of the children and the youth because they must belong to the revolution. 

The Catholic schools were shut down, the congregations expelled, Christian trade unions forbidden numerous churches confiscated and profaned or destroyed.  Public school attendance became mandatory atheism was officially taught, and religious symbols such as medals, crucifixes, statues and pictures were forbidden even in private.  Catholic public figures were assassinated and girls leaving church were kidnapped, imprisoned, even raped.  The Archbishop of Baltimore complained that U.S. friendship has encouraged Calles to destroy the idea of God in the minds and hearts of millions of Mexicans.  On 28 May 1926 Calles received the Masonic medal of merit from the hands of the Great Commander of the Masonic Scottish rite in Mexico.  On 12 July 1926, International Masonry accepted responsibility for everything that was happening in Mexico, and prepared to mobilize all its forces for the methodic, integral application of the agreed upon program for this country.

     By 1927 hundreds of priests and laymen had been killed and 20,000 Cristeros combatants took up arms in defense of the faith.  Their number rose to 30,000 by the end of the year, and to 50,000 by 1929. Beginning with little, they armed themselves with captured weapons and horses.  The people supplied their material needs and the fight became a crusade!  In 1927 they defeated the government forces in several battles.  By November the US military attaché’ began to worry about the success of the “fanatics,” as 40% of them were now equipped with captured Mauser rifles.  The Cristiada was a succession of miracles.

     In 1928 Mexico’s rural population was sent to concentration camps where famine and epidemics decimated them.  Those who resisted were massacred.  Harvests and flocks were seized, grazing land burned, and villages destroyed by the thousands.  Despite this scorched earth policy the Cristeros stood fast like latter-day Maccabees.

     By 1929, Cristeros victories forced the government to abandon the rural war.  Three-fourths of inhabitable Mexico was in the hands of the Cristeros.  They had won military victory, and in the United States Herbert Hoover, who was not a Mason, was elected president!  Then the Cristeros learned that secret negotiations between the Mexican government and the Vatican had relulted in an accord.  On 21 June the Mexican episcopate signed a resolution of the conflict with the ruling power.  The accord provided for immediate, unconditional cease fire and the resumption of the public worship began the next day.  It restored the same situation that prevailed in 1926 with all the anti-Catholic laws then in effect, including the registration of priests!  In the text, the Cristeros were called fanatics directed by a few third-rate priests; their revolt was an error, imprudent, even a sin.  They must lay down their arms under pain of excommunication…
The commander in chief of the Cristeros, Jesus Degollado, addressed his troops in a voice breaking with sorrow:
His Holiness the Pope, by the intermediary of the most excellent Apostolic Nuncio, has decided, for reasons which are unknown to us but which, as Catholics, we accept, that public worship will be resumed tomorrow without the law being changed…This arrangement…has wrested from us that which is most noble and most holy on our flag, at the moment when the Church has declared that she will resign herself to what she has obtained…Consequently, the National Guard assumes responsibility for the conflict…As for ourselves as men, we have a satisfaction that no one can take from us; the National Guard does not disappear defeated by its enemies, but rather abandoned by the very ones who were to be the first to receive the fruit of our sacrifices and abnegation!  Ave, Christ!  Those who for You are going to humiliation, to exile, and, perhaps, to an inglorious death,…with the most fervent love salute You, and once more proclaim You as King of our country.
Six thousand Cristeros obeyed, and were immediately massacred.  In three years, they had lost 5,000 men in combat!  The Mexican episcopate decreed the excommunication of the Cristeros priests, but those 180 who had not been killed during the war had already been martyred…all was lost. 

     The new president, the Masonic lawyer Fortes Gil, rejoiced.  At the summer solstice banquet he acknowledged his astonishment at the unconditional capitulation of a victorious army, and stated his intention to continue the fight: The fight did not begin yesterday.  The fight is eternal.  The fight began 20 centuries ago.(Adapted from M.     By 1935 Pius XI had earned by bitter experience that it was the same enemy of God and his Church that drove both the communists in Europe and the Freemasons in Mexico.  After Divini Redemptoris it was unthinkable for any in the Church to collaborate with communism or freemasonry in any undertaking whatsoever.

     Following the aging pontiff’s death his Secretary of State, Eugenio Cardinal Pacelli, was elected to succeed him on 2 March 1939, taking the name Pius XII.  Pope Pacelli had learned on the job the reality of communism.  But after Adolph Hitler led his Nazis to attack Russia on 22June 1941 the pontiff was required to temper his leadership against communism at least partly because the American President, freemason Franklin Delano Roosevelt, pressured him that Stalin was needed as an ally against Hitler.  On 3 Sept 1941 Roosevelt urged Pius XII that the Soviets had changed for the better:

The churches in Russia are open.  I believe there is a real possibility that Russia may, as a result of the present conflict, recognize freedom of religion in Russia, although, of course, without recognition of any official intervention on the part of any Church in education or political matters within Russia…I believe that this Russian dictatorship is less dangerous to the safety of other nations than is the German form of dictatorship. 
     Because communism was founded on atheism and hatred for Christ, Pius knew it was an enemy of His Church with whom accord or coexistence was possible and after the war he strictly forbade any Vatican relations with it. Pius XII died of a lingering illness on 9 October 1958 and Angelo Giuseppe Roncalli was elected Pope John XXIII on 28 October. John XXIII immediately reversed the direction of Pius XII politically by enthusiastically embracing Ostpolitik, or dialoguing with the Communist eastern European countries, and theologically by introducing what he considered to be a vital aggorimento, or updating of the Church to adapt to modern times.

     On 17 August 1959 Pope John received an envelope containing the third part of the Secret of Fatima which he read several times both on his own and with the help of Portuguese translators.  Its contents were shared with the leaders of the Holy Office, the Secretariat of State, and a few others.  He said he preferred to leave to others the appraisal of it, writing only a personal note that was resealed it in the envelope with Lucia’s letter and kept on his writing table until his death.  In fact by withholding the long-awaited and eagerly anticipated third part of the Secret from the Church and the world Pope John had de facto judged it unworthy of publication.  The consequences of that papal decision are incalculable, but surely include a further loss “of extraordinary graces and miraculous help” so desperately needed to guide the Church in its conflict with those forces, visible and invisible, that are led by Satan’s cunning. 

     On 25 November 1961 the pontiff received birthday greetings from the Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev praising his recent expressions of hope for world peace “as well as to the solution of international problems thanks to frank negotiations.”  In joyful response Pope John privately expressed his belief that “Something is moving in the world. The Lord is using the humble instrument that I am to budge history.  Today we have had a sign of Divine Providence.”

     Pope John felt inspired to call for a new ecumenical council that he hoped would be the occasion for a new springtime, a “New Pentecost” in the Church, to which he, ardently desired that members of the Russian Orthodox Church attend.  To that end Cardinal Eugene Tisserant for the Vatican and Russian Orthodox Metropolitan Nikodim for the Soviet Union concluded the “Vatican-Moscow Agreement” or “Metz Pact” at Metz, France on 18 August 1962. 
In consideration of the Soviets sending two Russian Orthodox observers to the council, the Vatican agreed tha the Second Vatican Council would abstain from any consideration of Communism and Russia.  “Ever since that time the Holy See considers itself as still bound by the engagements taken by John XXIII.  Communism is no longer ever mentioned by name in any pontifical document.”

    On 11 October 1962 Pope John opened his council with a joyful and upbeat address, but included an explicit rejection of warnings such as those of Sister Lucia: “We feel that We must disagree with these prophets of doom, who are always forecasting worse disasters, as though the end of the world were at hand.”  Tragically, the prophet to which he refers is not Sister Lucia to whom she appeared and spoke, but the “Woman clothed with the sun,” our August Queen of heaven and earth, of angels and men!

     On 11 April 1963 John XXIII signed Pacem in Terris, his internationalist encyclical on World Peace, in which “he officially recognized the ‘charter of the rights of man’ of the United Nations, and he extolled a world community, of liberty equality and fraternity” wherein ideal societies of the future would “constructed on the good will of all men.  And at the same time, the Pope practically lifted the prohibition of collaborating with the communists.”  Moreover, he wrote that such collaboration “may possibly provide the occasion or even the incentive for their conversion to the truth. “  

Pope John here officially promoted collaboration with Communists, accepting them as reasonable men of natural moral integrity.  He might have said the same of Freemasonry. It appears that the pontiff here fails to fully grasp or appreciate the demonic spirit and the perverse nature of a totalitarian system such as communism, by whatever name it may call itself from time to time that demands the unconditional and uncompromising personal commitment of a de facto religion.  This is surely because of the diabolical disorientation of the mystery of iniquity.  That is why we must pray for our Pope as never before, or I believe errors will continue.

     One cannot logically separate a communist from the errors of communism by whatever name they may call themselves as if a communist or a freemason were merely an atheist with strong socialistic or intellectual convictions.  For a communist believes the ultimate good is the dictatorship of the proletariat, or other totalitarian regime, and all means that achieve that end are good. Morally-ethical categories are replaced by political expediency.  As Harry and Bonaro Overstreet reported in their seminal study of communism in 1958, the necessary lie, slander, intimidation of the masses, and the liquidation of oppositional groups and hostile classes must not only be obediently carried out, but conscientiously accepted as the right thing to do by party members.  In 1957 Margarita Aliger confessed during a conference of Soviet writers in Moscow that she had sometimes substituted “morally-ethical categories for political categories…[whereas] All the work of a Soviet writer is political work, and to accomplish it honorably is possible only when one follows firmly the party line and party discipline.”  Hence, moral integrity consists in total personal dedication to use all means, including deception, liquidation, imprisonment, violence and terror, to achieve the ultimate good.  A party member is forbidden to love his enemies and is obligated to define as enemies “all who are outside the ideological pale.” Cannot the same be said of the Freemason Calles in Mexico in the 1920’s? 

     In the late 1962 Pope Roncalli suffered a severe hemorrhage.  On 17 May 1963 he was confined to bed and on 3 June he died, setting the stage for a new conclave to choose his successor.  Giovanni Battista Montini was chosen and took the name of Paul VI.  From his coronation as Paul VI on 21 June 1963 Pope Paul eagerly pursued communications with Russian communists, receiving in private audiences both of the Russian Orthodox observers to the Second Vatican Council. 

     Pope Paul published his first encyclical, Ecclesiam Suam, on 6 August 1964, while Vatican II was still in session, “to demonstrate with increasing clarity how vital it is for the world, and how greatly desired by the Catholic Church, that the two should meet together, and get to know and love one another…Our task is to serve society.”  While Pope Paul clearly articulated the perverse nature of atheistic communism, but not Freemasonry; he held to his conviction that future dialogue may be possible.  If this was a consequence of diabolical disorientation do we all not share responsibility to pray for our Pope and because of our sins?  On 15 September 1964 Monsignor Agostino Casaroli signed an agreement for  Paul VI with the communist Hungarian government which stipulated that Bishops named by Rome would be sworn “to the people and the constitution” of the communist state, followed by similar modus Vivendi with Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, East Germany and Bulgaria.  On 30 January 1967 Pope Paul met privately in the Vatican with Soviet President Nicolas Podgorny accompanied by Soviet Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andrei Gromyko.  By 1975 the pope and Gromyko had met privately several additional times.  Nevertheless:
     In the 1970’s the Bolshevist persecution against Catholics did not diminish at all.  One could read the following observations in the ‘Chronicles of the Catholic Church in Lithuania: ‘It seems to us that a dialogue with the Church is needed by the Soviet authority only so that the Vatican will keep silence about the persecution of Catholics in the USSR in hope of a betterment of the faithful’s  situation.  The dialogue is being used to deceive world public opinion that in the USSR freedom of religion is preserved.

The blood of thousands of Catholic Bishops, priests, nuns, brothers and millions of the faithful in communist totalitarian regimes were witnesses to this reality.

Thus it appears that the extraordinary graces promised by the Madonna at Fatima were as desperately needed by Jesus’ vicars in the 20th Century as by the French monarchs in the 100 years leading to the godless revolution that dragged Louis XVI and countless others including bishops, priests and religious to the guillotine.

     On the eve of the closing of session two of the Second Vatican Council, 3 December 1963, Bishop de Proenca, Sigaud delivered to the Cardinal Secretary of State petitions to the pope by 200 Council Fathers for a special schema to address “errors of Marxism, Socialism and Communism” which were ignored. 

  In October 1964 Bishop Yu Pin, Rector of the Catholic University at Formosa, demanded minimally, on behalf of 70 Bishops, a solemn declaration on Communism, which was ignored.  On 9 October1965 Bishop de Proenca Sigaud and Bishop Marcel Lefebvre delivered the petition of 334 bishops to the council’s secretariat general “demanding condemnation of Communism” which was put aside!  “Everyone knew of the existence of that petition.”  It is fair to conclude that, per the Vatican-Moscow agreement at Metz, the issues of Communism and Russia were withheld from the consideration of the Council Fathers.

     Any inspiration of the Council Fathers by the Holy Spirit on the grave moral issues of the effects of Communist totalitarianism o the church and souls in communist regimes was thereby purposely foreclosed by those who expected a new springtime and a new Pentecost within the Church.  Can one be surprised that it did not happen?  That : “Instead the dark and frigid winter arrived.”

     It is probable that Ostpolitik and the Vatican-Moscow agreement, the fear of provoking a formal schism within the church, the fear of exasperating relations with the schismatic Orthodox churches and the Chinese Patriotic church were factors in John Paul II’s belief expressed on       1 August 1984 to Father Pierre Caillon, a retired professor of philosophy and an expert on the question of the papal consecration of Russia, that he could not consecrate Russia apart by itself alone, but that Heaven would be satisfied that he had done all that could be done in the practical circumstances. 

  One can only speculate what additional factors may have influenced the aging pontiff’s acquiescence to the publication of the Vatican’s The Message of Fatima on 26 June 2000 asserting that John Paul’s consecration of the world in 1984 had fully complied with the Virgin’s request for the consecration of Russia at Fatima in 1917.  But it is clear that the consequences of the acceptance of the Vatican’s The Message of Fatima by the Church to date have included the removal of the entrustment of the Conversion of Russia and World Peace to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by Heaven, from the mind and heart of the Church, thereby frustrating the implementation of Heaven’s plan for this final conflict with Satan and leaving the Church to human initiatives.

   This first talk will consider the accuracy of the claims in the Vatican’s The Message of Fatima that: (1) Sister Lucia has confirmed in a private letter that the 1984 consecration of the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by Pope John Paul II completely fulfilled the Birgin’s request at Fatima that he with his bishops solemnly consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and that heaven had accepted that consecration; and (2) that the vision shown to the seers of a bishop dressed in white, like a pope, leading a procession of bishops, priests, religious and lay people through a ruined city, stepping over many corpses, up a hill to a cross where all are shot and killed by soldiers, is the complete 3rd Part of the Fatima Secret.

  It will argue from the historical record that since 1960 the Vatican’s Ostpolitik and diplomatic and social justice initiatives, like those proclaimed in Pacem in Terris, have failed to accomplish the conversion of Russia, to bring peace to the world, or any significant betterment in human behavior that would evidence the conversion of sinners’ hearts and minds to Christ; and that while significant blessings in the form of reductions of the tribulation of WWII and the Cold War have been obtained by the consecrations of the world to the Immaculate Heart by both Pius XII and John Paul II, “how much greater would they have been had the Madonna been heeded?”

   By all appearances the publication of the Message of Fatima in 2000 has succeeded in removing Mary’s 1917 requests at Fatima for the Consecration of Russia and the First Saturday reparatory devotions from the heart and mind of most of the Church.  That period has seen the 9-11 destruction of the world Trade Center towers in New York City, ongoing tension between the Koreas, wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Israel and Egypt, a real threat of nuclear war between Israel and Iran, and the ongoing genocide of Sudanese Catholics by Muslim militias, increasing military competition between the United States and Communist China and growing mutual mistrust between Russia and china and the West.  Part II will argue that it is ludicrous to maintain that the consecration of Russia has been done as asked by Heaven at Fatima, or that the Ostpolitik of the Vatican or any efforts by the United Nations have brought about peace.  Rather, the Church is in the endgame of its final conflict with Satan.  There is not time for business as usual by the church as if there were endless centuries to work for Christ.  Heaven has given the Holy Father and his Bishops specific orders at Fatima.  They are not optional.

    Part II will conclude by arguing that the 3rd part of the Fatima Secret contains an explanation of the vision shown to the seers warning of dangers to the faith, apostasy within the Church beginning from the top, and unimaginably severe punishments from God that have been prophesied by the Blessed Mother at Fatima, Garabandal and Akita.  We in the Church must daily fast and pray to support Pope Benedict XVI as he prayerfully contemplates the promises and warnings of the three parts of the Message of Fatima within the prophetic context of Garabandal and Akita, and to defeat his enemies, visible and invisible, who work against him, within and without Christ’s Church!
